It is best to fly to London. Heathrow is the closest international airport to Oxford.


You can arrange you own accommodation or you can stay at St Edmund Hall. The rooms are located on the main College site on Queens lane. There are a small number of ensuite rooms and also some ground floor rooms. All rooms have a handbasin and tea and coffee making facilities. Showers and toilets are situated on every floor. There are about 6 rooms per bathroom. Wifi is free. Access codes are available from the Lodge and the Bursary. Laundry facilities are available. check with the Porter's lodge.

 

A full breakfast is served in Wolfson Hall.

If you prefer to arrange your own accommodatiotn there are several hotels and B&Bs a few minutes walking distance from the city centre. Below is a selection of websites that give further information about places to stay in Oxford.

 

Oxford College accommodation provides bed and breakfast (B&B) rooms from £30. It is an alternative to staying in a hotel. It is available mainly in the vacation periods, but there are some rooms throughout the year.

 

Tower House—double room fee starts at £80 and is roughly an eleven minute walk to St Edmund Hall.  The Buttery Hotel is a twelve minute walk. Their rates start at £69.

 

Youth Hostel Oxford is right next to the Oxford Train Station and is 8 minutes by taxi and about 29 minute walking distance to St Edmund Hall.Their fees start at £23 for a twin with a private bathroom.

 

Keep in mind that fees change and it helps to book long in advance.
